Wyoming Adult Education (AE) offers academic instruction, college and career readiness skills, English as a Second Language classes for English Language Learners, and much more. AE focuses on strengthening basic reading, writing, and math skills for adults. Enhancement of basic academic skills prepares students to transition into employment, to skills training, and prepare for post-secondary education. Effective January 1, 2014 the new High School Equivalency Certificate in Wyoming will include a choice of three tests: HiSET, GED 2014, and later this year the TASC is expected to be offered.
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) was passed July 22, 2014. The is the reauthorization of the Workforce Investment Act which is the Federal funding stream and authorization for Adult Education in Wyoming.
